CACUL Conference Grant
We regret to
announce that CACUL Conference Grants have been suspended for
2011.
CACUL is pleased to announce that up to 3 grants of up to $1,800 each
will be awarded to attend this year's annual CLA Conference.
Grants are intended for new librarians, librarians who are unemployed
or employed in a contract position, or a library technician.
Purpose of these grants:
Eligibility Guidelines Governing Award:

New librarians who have received an MLS within the last two years
from a Canadian library school; librarians who are unemployed or in a
contract position at the time of application; library technicians.

Applicants must be personal members of CACUL.

Preference will be given to applicants who have not attended a CLA
conference.

Applicants who have received funding to attend the conference from
another CLA source will not be eligible for this grant.
Grants will be allocated to meet conference-related expenses to
cover: travel, and/or general registration fees and/or cost of
accommodation. If more than 3 applications are received, awards
will be made on the basis of a draw from eligible applications in each
category received by March 31 of the conference year.
The grant will be presented at the CACUL AGM. Recipients must submit
a report summarizing their conference experience to the Director, Grants
for inclusion on the CACUL site and other relevant media.
