Terms of Reference
- To survey and analyze new information technologies for the Canadian library community and CLA/ACB itself via the establishment of a volunteer network of technology 'reporters.' To facilitate and promote the widespread use of new information-based technologies in Canadian libraries. 'Technology' is defined quite broadly to include electronic information resources, hardware, software, communication networks and protocols. To educate librarians in the availability and use of new technologies via: CLA/ACB annual conference sessions and workshops; regional workshops; an ETIG website [http://staff.library.mun.ca/etig/]; ETIG blog.
- To facilitate the exchange of information pertaining to new
technologies through via a shared listserv with the Electronic
Publishing Interest Group.
