CLTA Awards
CLTA Merit Award for Distinguished Service as a Public Library
Trustee
The CLTA Merit Award is presented annually to a library trustee who
has demonstrated outstanding leadership in the advancement of
trusteeship and public library service in Canada.
Criteria
- Nominee must be a current or past member of CLTA, who has provided
distinguished service as a trustee at the local/regional, provincial or
national levels (any two levels of outstanding service).
- Each nomination must be sponsored by at least two members of the
Canadian Library Trustees Association.
- Nominations must be submitted on an official
nomination form, available from the CLA Office or any member of
the CLTA
Executive, and accompanied by required documentation.
- The award will be presented at the time of the annual Canadian
Library Association conference.
- If, in any year, no appropriate recipient is identified by the
CLTA Merit Award Committee, no award will be made.
