The Canadian Library Association/Association canadienne des
bibliothèques is governed by an elected Executive Council. It
comprises 12 individuals including: the President;
Vice-President/President Elect; Treasurer; Presidents of the five
Divisions of CLA; three Councillors-at-Large; and the Executive Director
(ex-officio).
A Vice-President/President Elect is elected annually, serving the
first year in that office and the second year as President. The
Treasurer is elected and serves a three-year term, while one
Councillor-at-Large is elected annually to serve a three-year term.
Division Presidents are elected by members of their Divisions.
