Welcome to CASLIS - Edmonton ChapterP. O. Box 1876, Main Post OfficeEdmonton, Alberta T5J 2P2 CASLIS is the division of the Canadian Library Association that represents the concerns of special libraries as well as many independent information consultants. It was established to support and promote the objectives of the Canadian Library Association, to unite special libraries personnel, information specialists, documentalists and other interested parties in furthering and improving special library service throughout Canada, to provide for the exchange of ideas and experience among members and to co-operate with internal and external groups and organizations in the advancement of special librarianship and special library and information services. CASLIS was constituted on June 8, 1969. The first chapter of CASLIS was organized in Ottawa on October 30, 1974. Other chapters were organized: Toronto (1975), Edmonton (1976), Calgary (1976), Manitoba (1984), and Atlantic Canada (1992). Last updated 26 October 2006
