Reception Join us at the beautiful Devonian Gardens (4th level, Toronto
Dominion Square) in downtown Calgary for CLA's conference opening reception. Here's
your chance to reunite and catch-up with colleagues and friends as you stroll
in the lush climate-controlled gardens. Enjoy some light snacks and great conversation
before you head out on the town for your dinner. Evening

Along the Bow River Join us for a 5-8 km run or walk along the pathways
of the banks of the beautiful Bow River. Calgary librarians will lead you on this
run/walk which features spectacular city views. The Bow River, 623 kilometres
in length, is a mountain river which flows through Banff National Park and winds
its way through the heart of the city of Calgary. Meet
at 6:50 a.m. at the 8th Ave. entrance to the Telus Convention Centre. 7:00

and Information Professionals Interest Group Ticket price: $17.00 Start
your day off bright and early with a great breakfast and the opportunity to find
out how to make the most of your conference experience. Join CLA VIPs from all

of public libraries in Canada. Highlights are the presentation of the CLTA/Stan

It's Peril on the Prairies when Crime Writers of Canada Western Vice-President
Lorna Nicholson introduces you a whole new line-up of suspects over lunch. Eileen
Coughlan, Janice MacDonald, Deborah Nicholson, Sharon Wildwood and of course Lorna
herself may look respectable but they sure leave a trail of bodies behind them.
Remember: Just because there are wide open spaces doesn't mean you don't have
to watch your back. Join these five mystery writers, listen to a tantalizing taste
of their mystery writing styles and discover why the West is still wild if you
dare. The authors will be Lorna Nicholson who will be the MC. She will be joined
