Why I love my job

I get to play with computers all day! I have done a lot of research surrounding digital services from e-reserves to iPods to wikis. Some specific projects I've worked on include: helping to build information literacy tutorials, creating metadata profiles for cataloguing teaching resources, and teaching sessions on new technology and how it applies to libraries and education.

I want to bring libraries to the user, instead of relying on them to come to us. We have to realize that people don't naturally know libraries make them better human beings...and so we must show them.  

Why I chose a career in libraries

I met a librarian while I was finishing my undergraduate degree and she told me about her job, what her duties were, the pay scale, what is was like to be a librarian, and I thought it sounded like a perfect fit!
